PTP Position for Psychologists

We now welcome you who have a degree in psychology and are looking for a PTP position. If you are interested in working preventively and health-promoting with children and adolescents in the school environment, this is your chance. We offer PTP supervision from two experienced licensed psychologists and a training program that includes all the components you need to become a licensed psychologist. Additionally, you will be part of our network for school psychologists where you will regularly meet for collegial exchange.

Skogstorpsskolan and Hållstaskolan are located about 10 kilometers outside Eskilstuna city center with good bus connections. Here you will meet students from preschool to grade 9. We have a total of 992 students. Our current school psychologist will be on parental leave, which is why we are looking for you.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school psychologist, you contribute your psychological expertise to create a safe and supportive environment where all students can develop. You work closely with school staff and student health teams to help students feel good and develop both socially and academically. The student health team consists of various professions working for the health and learning of students. Your work includes supervising and advising school staff, both individually and in groups, so that they can better support students' development. You also provide support and advice to guardians, write referrals, and collaborate with external actors such as BUP and Habiliteringen. If necessary, you conduct assessments, for example, if there is a suspicion of intellectual disability. Your expertise is utilized in educational initiatives and projects that promote students' schooling and well-being.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a degree in psychology and is ready for PTP service. You are flexible, self-assured, and capable of adapting to the needs of students and the school. Your empathetic and attentive approach allows you to build trust and meet people with respect. We prefer that you have worked with children and adolescents and are both curious and exploratory. Collaboration skills are important, as you will work closely with many colleagues and different professional groups.
